Happy Book Birthday to the gorgeous Twin Crowns by Catherine Doyle & Katherine Webber! And a huge thank you so much Electric Monkey Books for my stunning proof!! My preorder came today as well and although I love Wren I’m staying loyal to my girl Rose! 😂

What an amazing read! I was instantly intrigued by the plot - separated royal twins, outcast witches, budding romances - and it all came together perfectly! The worldbuilding was spectacular and so detailed! I loved the history of the witches and you also get a fantastic example of how history is told by the victors because as Rose learns some things may not be what they seem!

I loved Rose & Wren! Although they had such different backgrounds & childhoods they had the same determination to do what’s right and tremendous bravery! I really liked how each of their old presumptions slowly changed throughout the book as they became aware of the hardships that they each had to go through and it was so nice to see that bring them closer together. Plus I really enjoyed how the sister dynamic kicked in straight away - they will bicker and argue but at the end of the day they would never let anything bad happen to the other.

The writing was so fun and seamless between the two authors! Both authors brought such a beautiful voice to the story and complement each other so nicely! The story was absolutely action packed, I felt like I was on the edge of my seat and I didn’t want to put it down! I am so excited to see what happens next!
