If The Sun Never Sets - Ana Huang (ARC)
"Five years ago, he broke her heart. Now, he’ll do anything to win her back.
When Farrah walked into her lunch meeting, she didn’t expect to see him.
Blake Ryan. Her first love. Her first heartbreak. And now, her first client as a freelance interior designer.
It’s been five years, but she’ll never forget the way he shattered her. He whispers pretty words, but she’ll never believe him. Her body craves his, but she’ll never give him her heart. Not again. Not ever.
Money. Looks. A booming sports bar empire. On the surface, Blake has it all. But inside, he's haunted—both by nightmares of a tragic loss, and dreams of the girl he once betrayed. When fate reunites them, he sees it as a sign: It’s time to get the love of his life back. No matter what it takes.
If the Sun Never Sets is book two of the If Love duet. It's a steamy, angsty second chance romance with plenty of groveling and an HEA. Recommended for 18+ due to profanity and explicit content."
TW/CW: miscarriage, swearing
I received If The Sun Never Sets by Ana Huang for free by the author in exchange for an honest review. If The Sun Never Sets was published on the 30th July 2020 is the sequel to If We Ever Meet Again which I read and reviewed in June and absolutely LOVED! So just in case you haven't read that yet please be aware that there may be some spoilers for the first book in this review!
After loving If We Ever Meet Again I was so excited to read this and desperate to know what happens next! In If The Sun Never Sets we join our main characters, Farrah and Blake, five years after the events of the previous book.
Farrah is realising that her dream job is not everything that she thought it would be. After working hard on a project only to get passed over for a promotion due to nepotism and realising nothing is ever going to change, she decides to quit. Now she has to figure out what she is going to do next - especially as she has rent and bills to pay. Enter Blake who coincidentally needs an interior designer for his apartment.
Blake is doing very well in his professional life, the small business he was contemplating in Shanghai is now a multi-billion dollar business empire. However, his personal life has taken a downward turn. He's still hopelessly in love with Farrah and his relationship with his family back in Texas has become even more strained. He is determined to win Farrah back and show her that she can trust him again. Whereas Farrah if fine with never seeing Blake again, until he makes her an offer she can't refuse.
The storyline and writing was seamless from the first book. The story continued as though I hadn't put the first down and I was swept up in Farrah and Blake's world! Also I loved seeing all of the characters that I enjoyed from the previous book all grown up and doing so well. Plus, no spoilers, but I just have to say that there I'm giving extra brownie points for using the trope of having to share a room and there being only one bed!!
If you love romance then you need to read this series! Ana Huang will break your heart, give you all of the feels and help put it back together again in the best way. I'm literally obsessed with her writing now!
If The Sun Never Sets was a really great, sweet and fun sequel. Thank you so much to Ana Huang for the opportunity to read this incredible series! It is available on GoodReads and Amazon and you can find out more about the author below!
