If We Ever Meet Again - Ana Huang
"One year, two opposites, and a love that will blindside and, ultimately, shatter them.
She’s an aspiring interior designer who dreams of falling in love.
He’s an ex-football star who thinks love is a con.
She’s a virgin, and he doesn’t do virgins.
He’s cocky, infuriating, and not her type.
She wants the fairytale.
He wants freedom.
Blake and Farrah shouldn’t have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably.
Because they’re studying abroad in Shanghai, and they only have one year.
Because forces at home threaten to rip them apart, even if they don’t know it yet.
And because, eventually, they must face the most heartbreaking lesson they’ll ever learn: sometimes, even the greatest love can’t conquer all."

Warning: This is the first book in a duet. It's a full-length novel with no sudden cliffhangers, but Blake and Farrah’s story continues in book two, If the Sun Never Sets (due out July 2020), which takes place five years later. HEA guaranteed in book two.
If We Ever Meet Again is a slow burn New Adult contemporary romance. It contains profanity and explicit content. Recommended for 18+.

If We Ever Meet Again will be available on GoodReads and Amazon.
In If We Ever Meet Again by Ana Huang we follow the lives of our main characters Farrah Lin and Blake Ryan during their year studying abroad in Shanghai.
Farrah is an American born Chinese girl looking for the ultimate Hollywood whirlwind romance, which she has so far only experienced in books and films. She's logical, funny and can get lost in her own head a lot, especially when she is thinking about her passion in life which is designing. She was a well written female character that is relatable and a joy to read.
Blake is an ex football player from Texas looking to escape the heavy expectations placed on him by his family who have already planned out his career and who he should marry. He's good looking - and he knows it! - , a definite charmer and a good friend.
I instantly fell in love with these characters and together they are magic. They had the sweetest meet-cute of literally bumping into each other and what starts as a teasing relationship with lots of banter and arguments turns into a great friendship. Their bond is so special and I loved how supportive they were of each other especially when it came to their hopes and dreams.
Farrah has passion and knows exactly what she wants to do with her life and she helps Blake who is still unsure and trying to figure things out. Whereas Blake helps her be more adventurous and spontaneous.
As well as the excellent romance in this book, I also really enjoyed how close the group of friends were. They were like a little found family - which is the best book trope! - and I loved the scenes of them all together. It was like a real friend group where they had fun but they were also all supportive of each other and helped when one had any problems. Plus it was really cool when they would explore Shanghai together which is also a really cool setting for a book! I loved the bits of culture that were featured throughout the book and it has definitely made me want to visit there one day! Maybe I'll be able to find my own special romance!
I could tell from the moment I got this book that it was going to be a good romance but I do have to say... Ana Huang how could you break my heart like that?! Seriously though, If We Ever Meet Again is the perfect romantic summer read that has great humour and will give you all of the feels! I can't wait to read more!
