May Wrap Up!
I hope you all had a safe and healthy May! I've had a really weird month where I've been reading but I've felt like I've been in a month long reading slump?? It's so crazy! Hopefully I'll be getting over that in June 😂 Speaking of June it is now the start of Pride Month in the UK 🌈 Happy Pride everybody ❤️
Books I've Read
So I somehow managed to get through 8 books this month! I thought it would be way less than that considering the mood I've been in 😂 Plus I actually managed to review most of these this month as well - that's never happened before! Am I finally starting to become more organised? Probably not 😂
The Forest God - Jamie Lackey
Gatewatch - Joshua Gillingham
So I broke my book buying ban and treated myself to a few books this month - mostly because I found an unused Waterstones giftcard in my purse and I got a bit excited 😂 I've heard so much about these books, I can't wait to dive in!
Daisy Jones & The Six - Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo - Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Priory of the Orange Tree - Samantha Shannon
The Witcher: The Sword of Destiny - Andrzej Sapkowski
I'm still participating and having fun with Fae Fridays! In case you haven't heard of Fae Fridays it is an awesome new weekly blog tag created by the lovely Kristy at Caffeinated Fae! Every week offers a new fun prompt and we all find each other on social media using the hashtag #FaeFriday so feel free to join in! You won't regret it ☺️
I didn't participate in any readathons this month however I have some exciting ones in June! Since I love Percy Jackson I am going to be joining The Olympic Games Readathon - keep an eye out for my TBR coming soon!
Additionally, I am super happy to be participating in the Readers Without Borders Charity Readathon this month! I'm going to be making a separate post with all of the details but @JDRoberts_SFF on Twitter has created an absolutely amazing readathon for a great cause to raise money for Doctors Without Borders! You can find out more on his page and blog and I will make sure to get my post up as soon as possible!
Also, I will be joining the Blackout Buddy Read so that I can make a start on the journey to better educate myself on how to be a better ally and to actively become anti-racist. Please feel free to join and show your support, this buddy read is hosted by Shae at @bookswithshae and the official twitter for the buddy read is @BlackoutRead! ❤️
So that's about it from me for this month, I hope you are all well. Let me know how May was for you and what you have planned for June down in the comments or come find me on my Twitter and Instagram!
See you next month,
Love Soph x
