October Wrap Up!
How are you all? I can't believe spooky season is over already! It went far too quickly for my liking and I didn't get to watch as many Halloween movies as I wanted 😂 But I really enjoyed Halloween night as I had a baking night with my nieces and we made some spooky treats like cupcakes, toffee apples, shortbread and more!
How did you celebrate Halloween?
I'm honestly surprised that I managed to get any reading done this month 😂 With my new job and my months long reading slump it has been hard to squeeze in any time for reading!
Let me know if you've read any of these too!
Marvel Masterworks: The Amazing Spiderman Volume 1
Evidence of the Affair - Taylor Jenkins Reid
Piranesi - Susanna Clarke
I managed to restrain myself a little bit in October 😂 I don't think I'm ever going to be able to complete a total book buying ban haha! But I am so happy that my copy of The Silvered Serpents came! It was such a palaver because I preordered it from Amazon and they never got it to me, and then I ordered it from Waterstones but it never arrived and then I finally managed to get a copy from Book Depository 😅
The Silvered Serpents - Roshani Chokshi
Iron Heart - Nina Varela
I must admit I'm quite proud of myself because I actually managed to get up some reviews this month! Plus one of them is quite possible my favourite review I've done so far which is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue! That book made me feel so many emotions, it was absolutely fantastic! I also loved putting up my review for The Adulting Manual, which I was gifted by Hot Key Books, and it was perfect for me! In a time where I've been struggling a lot with my mental health it really helped put some things in perspective for me and gave me some valuable resources to help with bad mental health days in the future.
I also joined the MTMC blog tour for Untamed by Madeline Dyer which was so much fun! I've always loved the look of MTMC tours and my first one with them was amazing, I can't wait to do even more!
Also, I was so happy to do the third book in the Ana Huang series - If Love Had A Price - I absolutely love Ana's books and I was so happy that she asked me to do this one as well!
I also posted something a bit different on my blog which was a list of my favourite Halloween movies! I would really love to get more content like this up on my blog and I enjoyed putting it together and writing it up so let's hope I can keep coming up with some more ideas 😂
So that's it from me this month, I'm sorry it's come a bit later than usual! I didn't do much for October so I don't know why this took so long to write 😂 I hope you guys all had a great October and let me know what you have planned for November down in the comments or come find me on my Twitter and Instagram!
