The Accidental Love Letter - Olivia Beirne

"The funny, uplifting second novel from Olivia Beirne for fans of Sophie Kinsella, Katie Marsh, Zoë Folbigg and Marian Keyes.

What would you do if you received a love letter that wasn't meant for you?

Bea used to feel confident, outgoing and fun, but she's not sure where that person went.

Over the last few months, she's found herself becoming reclusive and withdrawn. And despite living with her two best friends, she's never felt lonelier. To make things worse, she's become so dependent on her daily routine, she's started to slip out of everyone else's.

But when a mysterious battered envelope covered in stars lands on her doormat, Bea wonders if she could find the courage to open it.

It isn't addressed to her, but it could be... if you squinted..."

I received The Accidental Love Letter by Olivia Beirne for free in exchange for an honest review by Emily at Headline Books, thank you so much for this early copy! Sorry it's taken me a while to write up the review!

In The Accidental Love Letter, our main character is Bea, a junior reporter at a local paper working on a big pitch for her boss however she is extremely shy and hasn't got much confidence in herself or her abilities. One day she receives a love letter, meant for a previous tenant, and when she replies it seems to change her life forever.

This was the sweetest story and I really enjoyed the concept. It reminded me a little bit of To All The Boys I've Loved Before, with the accidental letters and unexpectedly falling in love. I love a good romance and it was so well written I didn't want to put it down.

I found Bea's character really relatable. Especially with her anxiety and the feeling of always being worried and also falling behind. It was nice to see her confidence grow throughout the book and even though she ends up in the most unexpected situation she doesn't let her anxiety define her.

The Accidental Love Letter was a cute, gentle and easy read! A story of taking a risk and finding true love. Who knew a single letter could change everything?

Thank you so much again to Emily at Headline Books and Olivia Beirne for the copy of this book, it was such a sweet read!
